Kevin Gopie, known as DJ Renegade, is a pioneering figure in the world of street dance, recognized as a “First Generation Street Dancer” and co-founder of Europe’s first hip-hop formations. Based in London, UK, he has been an active participant in the scene since 1982.

Renegade’s DJ career began in 1986, and he has since made a significant impact on the DJ landscape and the musical elements of dance battles. His global travels have allowed him to collaborate with emerging artists, and he has released several CDs while also DJing for groups like Blade and Son of Noise, all while crafting his own beats from the start.

He is frequently booked for prestigious events such as Juste Debout, HipOpsession, Bboy Summit, and Red Bull BC One BOTY. Dancers worldwide appreciate the distinctive and expertly crafted nature of his beats, which draw from the rich history of B-boying, Locking, and Popping.
